Dr Amy Hoile
Dr Amy Hoile is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with special interests in women’s health, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, neonatal care, contraception, and skin cancer medicine. She provides comprehensive care for patients across all stages of life, from infancy through to older adulthood, with a particular passion for supporting women through adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause.
As a GP Obstetrician, Dr Hoile provides maternity care for women across the Fleurieu Peninsula and has the privilege of caring for women throughout their pregnancy journey, including the delivery of babies at South Coast District Hospital. She enjoys supporting women through all stages of pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. In 2022, she completed the Advanced Diploma of Obstetrics (DRANZCOG Advanced) through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, further strengthening her skills in comprehensive maternity care.
Dr Hoile provides a broad range of women’s health services, including contraceptive counselling and family planning. She is experienced in the insertion and removal of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs), including Implanon NXT® implants and Mirena® intrauterine devices (IUDs), helping women choose contraceptive options that best suit their individual needs and circumstances.
Dr Hoile has also undertaken additional training in paediatrics, including completion of the Sydney Child Health Program in 2019, enhancing her expertise in the care of infants, children, and young families.
In addition, Dr Hoile has a strong interest in skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy. She completed the Certificate of Practical Dermoscopy in 2024 and offers dedicated skin cancer and skin lesion assessment clinics on Fridays.
Dr Hoile became a Partner of Victor Medical Centre in 2024 alongside her husband, Dr Jack Mintz. She is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care and values building long-term relationships with patients and families throughout the Fleurieu community.
